4 out of the 5 members are from the OHS jazz band, which not only qualified for the Iowa jazz championship but made it to finals and placed second out of all class 2a schools. One is from South Dakota and plays for the Washington High School Jazz 1, where gotten a first place for AAA and an outstanding musician award.
